How could this be?? When the annual school table tennis competition was supposed to be held today, it was for some unknown reason postponed to two weeks later.That's not the worst. I was going on a holiday during that week. I went to the teacher in-charge. She said other levels still had their exams and had to postpone the competition to the 2nd week. I was devastated. I had prepared for this competition for weeks and now someone tells me I won't be able to participate in it.
"Please, can you change the date? I have to go on a holiday on that week!" I implored. She looked at me. "No. Then don't join the competition. I don't think students are allowed to go for holidays even when the exams are over, aren't they?"
Right at that moment, I felt a surge of energy flush through me. My head and hands felt hot. Controlling myself, I turned back and left.
This so stupid, I thought.
